TalkBreaks Privacy Notice
Effective August 1, 2026
This notice explains how the TalkBreaks DBA handles information in the private beta. Questions and privacy requests go to admin@talkbreaks.com.
Information we process
- Account email, authentication, and security information.
- Relationship membership and invitation records.
- Private drafts, reflections, and check-ins you choose to create.
- Messages and summaries explicitly approved for sharing.
- Consent, policy acceptance, and subscription metadata.
- Minimal reliability, model, timing, and safety-event metadata.
TalkBreaks does not use sensitive relationship content for targeted advertising and does not sell that content.
Private and shared information
Private drafts and private AI reflections are limited to their originating user. Shared records are available to both active members of the relationship space. The application and database, not merely the AI prompt, enforce this separation.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, operate the two-person conversation flow, generate requested AI assistance, enforce privacy and safety controls, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, and diagnose service failures.
Service providers
Supabase provides authentication and database infrastructure, Vercel hosts the application, OpenAI processes the limited eligible context needed for requested AI features, and Stripe processes payments, invoices, fraud signals, and billing-portal activity. TalkBreaks does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
Retention and deletion
During the private beta, information is retained while needed to operate the account, relationship space, consent history, security, and subscription. A final class-by-class retention schedule is still being validated. Send access, export, correction, or deletion requests to admin@talkbreaks.com.
Requests are authenticated before action. Private content and jointly shared content are handled differently because deleting a shared record can affect both participants. Backups and legally required records may expire on a delayed schedule.
Security and limitations
TalkBreaks uses encrypted connections, server-only provider keys, database authorization, and separate private and shared records. No online service can guarantee absolute security or confidentiality. Do not use TalkBreaks when it is unsafe to communicate freely.
Eligibility, rights, and contact
The paid beta is limited to United States adults age 18 and older. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of information. Contact admin@talkbreaks.com.
