TalkBreaks Terms

These Terms govern the TalkBreaks service offered under the TalkBreaks DBA. By creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice.
TalkBreaks is early-access communication software. It is not therapy, counseling, medical or legal advice, crisis care, or an emergency service. AI can misunderstand you or make mistakes. Review every word before sharing it.
Eligibility and private beta
The paid beta is available only to United States adults age 18 and older. Features may change, be interrupted, or be removed as the service is tested. Do not use TalkBreaks when it is unsafe to communicate freely or for urgent or emergency situations.
Accounts and two-person spaces
Each partner must use their own account. Do not share passwords or impersonate another person. Joining a relationship space allows access to records deliberately shared in that space. It does not grant access to the other partner’s private drafts or reflections.
Subscription and automatic renewal
The paid beta costs $19 USD per relationship space each month and covers both partners. The paying partner is charged immediately. There is no free trial. The subscription renews automatically each month until canceled.
The paying partner can cancel through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. First-payment refund requests submitted within 7 days are eligible for a refund. After that window, payments are nonrefundable except where applicable law requires otherwise. Send billing or refund requests to admin@talkbreaks.com.
Stripe processes card details, invoices, and payment-method changes. Payment does not give the payer ownership of the other partner’s private content or additional access rights.
Your content and sharing choices
You keep responsibility for what you write and approve. Private content remains private unless you explicitly approve an exact message for sharing. Once content is shared, it becomes part of a jointly accessible conversation record and cannot be treated as one partner’s private record.
Acceptable use
- Do not threaten, stalk, coerce, deceive, or harass another person.
- Do not bypass privacy, authorization, or safety controls.
- Do not upload unlawful content or use another person’s account.
- Do not rely on AI output as professional or emergency guidance.
Safety and availability
TalkBreaks may pause ordinary mediation when content indicates a possible safety concern. Automated detection is imperfect. The service does not monitor conversations continuously and does not contact emergency services on your behalf.
Account, export, and deletion requests
Beta requests are handled manually through admin@talkbreaks.com. Private records and jointly shared records have different deletion consequences. TalkBreaks will authenticate requests and explain what can be removed before acting. Shared records will not be silently deleted for one partner without considering the other participant’s rights.

Contact admin@talkbreaks.com. Material changes to pricing or these Terms will be disclosed before a new purchase or renewed acceptance when required.
